Dr. Ziad Bahaa-Eldin is a prominent Egyptian politician and economist who served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Cooperation. In addition to this role, Bahaa-Eldin is known for holding several important economic positions in the Egyptian government and the private sector.
Academic Qualifications:
- PhD in Commercial Law from the University of London.
- Master’s in International Law from the University of Paris.
- Bachelor’s in Law from Cairo University.
- Diploma in Economics from the University of London.
Previous Positions:
- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Cooperation (2013-2014).
- Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
- Chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (2009-2011), where he played a pivotal role in regulating non-banking financial activities.
- Founder and Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority, which is responsible for regulating non-banking financial markets in Egypt.
